What I offer

DBT-Informed Individual Therapy

Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) aims to increase ones ability to be present, reduce suffering, understand themselves, improve relationships, and increase ones quality of life. While not as intensive as comprehensive DBT, DBT-informed therapy integrates the core principles of DBT - core mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. These principles aim to address dysregulation that shows up cognitively, emotionally, interpersonally, and behaviorally. To enhance the effectiveness of DBT, I incorporate somatic work and polyvagal theory throughout.

Individual DBT Skills Training

I believe DBT skills are life skills that can benefit almost anyone. Individual DBT skills training is an opportunity to learn concrete skills aimed at increasing mindfulness, tolerating distress, regulating emotions, and increasing interpersonal effectiveness with ourselves and others. DBT skills are an excellent addition to therapy and they are not a replacement for therapy. These sessions act more like a class rather than a space to process and problem solve.

60 minute session - $150

Trauma Focused CBT

Trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) aims to help children and adolescents recover from traumatic experiences. This modality uses narration, emotional processing, and cognitive modification/challenging to help experience emotions and change behaviors as well as thought patterns that are the result of trauma.

An important component of TF-CBT is parental involvement. While your child is learning how to navigate how trauma is impacting them and how to help themselves, it is important for parents to receive education around trauma, learn skills to tolerate their own emotions, and improve communication with their child.

60 minute session - $190

90 minute session (with parent) - $240

Cognitive Processing Therapy

Cognitive processing therapy (CPT) aims to reduce symptoms related to trauma and PTSD through cognitive restructuring and emotional experiencing. Trauma can alter the way we think about the world, other people, and ourselves. These thoughts create patterns of “stuckness” and can lead to harmful behaviors. CPT helps us feel about, examine, and challenge our views on safety, trust, control, intimacy, and esteem as they are impacted by trauma.
