My Background

Hi there! My name is Brianna Wilson and I am a licensed professional counselor offering psychotherapy for clients who live in Maryland.

I earned my Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. It was during my internship training that I was introduced to DBT and I was instantly hooked. Over the last several years, I have worked to implement the modality in residential, partial-hospitalization, and intensive outpatient settings. I have enjoyed my last few years utilizing DBT as it was initially intended; outpatient with the clients day to day stressors present. I have intensive DBT training from Behavioral Tech as well as training in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and cognitive processing therapy for PTSD.  Though I am not yet a comprehensive DBT practice, I do offer DBT-informed individual therapy and skills training.

I believe all humans have inherent value and I strive to empower each of my clients to connect with that. I hope to help my clients confront their pain, recognize what is within their power to change, ways to accept reality as it is, and how they can achieve their life worth living.

Outside of work, I enjoy catching up on my reading list, trying new recipes (always happy to learn about your favorites), and hiking with my pups, Norman and Atlas.

Let’s work together
